A Panda unit is a convenient and
hygienic way to recycle food waste. They will dispose of fruit
and vegetable peelings, small meat bones, egg shells, coffee
grounds, tea bags, fish heads and bones, bread, pasta, noodles
and rice.
The ground up particles
pass through the normal waste pipes to the treatment plant
where it can be recycled. Independent research has proved
the use of a waste disposal unit as part of a total waste
management programme.
Composting is a good solution for garden
waste and vegetable leftovers, however it is not a practical
solution for many households and food waste such as meat,
dairy produce, pasta, fish and rice should not be placed
on to compost heaps.
