Most food waste disposal units have similar features, so why do we suggest that you purchase a PANDA unit for your kitchen?
Four impellors instead of two
Inside a food waste disposal unit are impellors and a grinding ring, these grind the food waste.
Other units only use two impellors.
All PANDA units have four, two that swivel and two fixed, to ensure the best possible grinding. All PANDA waste disposal units have stainless steel impellors for ultra long life. Unlike some other machines on the market, PANDA units will happily grind items such as teabags, celery and onion skins.

Induction Motors
There are two types of motor available on waste disposal units, induction motors and brush (universal) motors. Induction motors are the choice of most manufacturers as they tend to be quieter, longer lasting and operate at a constant speed. Universal or brush motors , use, as the name suggests, brushes to power the unit, so the brushes will wear in time. The brush motors initially start at a high speed, however as the food waste is introduced the motor can slow down due to the weight of the food waste.
PANDA units incorporate high quality induction motors designed for a long, trouble free life
Air switches
On most makes air switches are supplied only on the most expensive models, or you have to buy an additional part.
All PANDA units, even the PANDA CUB, have an air switch supplied as standard.
For complete customer safety we recommend all units are installed with an air switch. This will ensure that even with wet hands, the user can safely switch the unit on and off, and eliminate totally the chance of electrical shock.
